5S Awards 2001 & 2002: The Company’s practice of the 5S Japanese housekeeping concept was rewarded by Japan Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association (JASTECA) with Merit Awards at the Taiki Akimoto 5S Competition in 2001 and 2002.

National Safety Awards 2001 & 2003: DPMC endeavors to ensure the health and safety of its employees, customers, contract workers and all those who visit its premises, and the Company has been recognized for the systems and practices it employs with the ‘All-Island National Safety Merit Award’ in 2001 and 2003.

Green Sri Lanka Environment Awards 2002 & 2004: DPMC won the Bronze Award at Green Sri Lanka Environment Awards 2002 and the Gold Award at Green Sri Lanka Environment Awards 2004 organized by the Federation of Wildlife Conservation in recognition of its efforts towards the protection of environment and wildlife.

ISO 14001: The Company has received the ISO 14001 certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) in recognition of its commitment to comply with the Environmental Management Systems.

ISO 9001:2000: Improvement is a continuing process at DPMC and standards are maintained with stringent quality assurance policies and practices. The Company has been awarded the ISO 9001: 2000 certification for compliance with Quality Management System requirements at its Madapatha and Bandaragama Complexes as well as its Corporate Headquarters at Hyde Park Corner.

SUNFO Award 2004: DPMC was presented with the ‘SUNFO Family Service National Award – 2004’ for the outstanding contribution made towards the betterment of society through the three-wheeler industry.

National HRM Awards 2003: DPMC received the ‘Best HR Practice’ in the Large Manufacturing Sector at the second National HRM Awards 2003 for effective implementation of employee suggestion schemes, reward system, motivational programs, training and development, employee relations, employee welfare and social responsibility.

Transport Awards 2004: DPMC was adjudged the ‘Best Company in Transport Business’ at Transport Awards 2004 organized by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport.

Community Leader Awards 2005 & 2006: DPMC won the Silver Award in the Large Category at the inaugural Community Leader Awards organized by CIMA Sri Lanka in 2005 to recognize the best companies in waste management. The Company also received a Special Award in 2006 in recognition of its contribution to the education sector.

Chery 'Best Service' Award 2006: DPMC won the ‘Best Service’ award at the Chery International Business Conference held in Beijing, China in November 2006.

National Business Excellence Awards 2007: DPMC won ‘Excellence in Blockbuster Performance’ and ‘Best Realized Growth’ awards at the National Business Excellence Awards 2007, conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce.

People’s Awards 2008: Bajaj was crowned ‘People’s Vehicle of the Year’ at the People’s Awards 2008, organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing in association with the Nielsen Company.
