MANAGEMENT SYSTEM POLICY STATEMENT

David Pieris Motor Company (Private) Limited is in the automotive business. Our Management System Policy Statement has been established in line with our company Vision, Mission, Values and business strategy.

⦿ Meeting customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements through effective processes and risk-based thinking.

⦿ Providing high-quality two wheelers, three wheelers that are affordable, reliable, and economic modes of transportation.

⦿ Supporting vehicles produced by our company, as well as two-wheelers which are manufactured by David Pieris Motor Company (Lanka) Limited, with quality spare parts, excellent after-sales service, and reliable repairs, carried out by a professional, trained workforce utilizing modern technology, equipment, and processes with island wide dealer network.

2. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

⦿Providing a safe and hygienic work environment for employees and other stakeholders.

⦿ Preventing workplace injury, ill health and continually improving Occupational Health & Safety management and performance by consultation and participation of workers, and, where they exist, workers’ representatives.

⦿ Creating awareness among all stakeholder of standard safety practices and unsafe actions and behaviours.

⦿ Advocating the adoption of prudent environmental, health and safety principles and practices by our dealers, contractors and vendors.

⦿ Adopting suitable mechanisms to protect human health and the environment.

3. PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

⦿ Conserving and creating awareness on preserving the environment for the benefit of our employees, customers, other stakeholders and the society at large.

⦿ Taking preventive actions to minimize our environmental footprint through the prevention of pollution, energy efficiency, waste reduction, climate change mitigation and the sustainable use of resources while ensuring that all our products, services and operations comply with relevant environmental legislations, regulations and/or internationally accepted environmental standards.

⦿ This would include controlling the exhaust gas emissions of our Three Wheelers and Two Wheelers to be within the stipulated standards, using advanced systems and practices of waste disposal and water conservation.

We are always committed to operate within the requirements of our Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems by establishing objectives that are aligned with the company’s business strategy and keep strengthening them in order to achieve continual improvement.
