DPMC shines again at the Presidential Environment Awards

David Pieris Motor Company (Private) Limited (DPMC) has once again been recognised for its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable operations, winning a Bronze Award at the Presidential Environment Awards 2025.

Organised annually by the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) under the Ministry of Environment, this prestigious award recognises organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to protecting and sustaining the environment through responsible business practices.

At this year’s ceremony, DPMC earned the Bronze Award in the Vehicle Servicing Centre Type A & B Category. Notably, no Gold or Silver awards were presented and only a Merit Award was given to another company—making DPMC the top-ranked and leading organisation in this category.

The award was accepted by Mr. Samantha Silva, Executive Director, David Pieris Motor Company (Private) Limited, on behalf of the company.

The Presidential Environment Awards follow a competitive evaluation process, including on-site assessments by the Central Environmental Authority. Marks are awarded based on initiatives that contribute to environmental protection, sustainability and productivity improvements.

DPMC’s achievement was driven by its continued excellence and innovation in energy conservation, water treatment and conservation, productivity enhancement, environmental innovation, health and safety practices, good housekeeping and operational discipline.

These efforts not only earned DPMC top recognition this year but also reflect the company’s long-term dedication to creating a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

Last year, at the Presidential Environment Awards 2024, DPMC also received a Merit Award in the Vehicle Servicing Category and this continued success further cements our leadership in responsible environmental management.
