Lunchtime TV at Ranna Manufacturing Complex

This programme was telecast on Sirasa TV Channel on May 8, 2019 from 11am to 12 noon. It was a programme designed to break the monotony of the everyday routine of Ranna personnel and focused on motivating them, improving team spirit, and giving them opportunity to showcase their talents. It also  intended to give viewers a glimpse of what it is like to assemble vehicles at Ranna and make them ready for sale with an idea of the daily routine at Ranna Manufacturing complex. Ranna Manufacturing Complex is also known as David Pieris Motor Company (Lanka) Ltd (DPMCL) and is part of the automotive arm of David Pieris Group. At this ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified manufacturing complex, Bajaj motorcycles and three wheelers are assembled daily and made ready for sale. Well equipped with an assembly line conveyor which is a Motor Driven Slat Type Conveyor, a first of its kind in the country, DPMCL assembles 400 motorcycles or 150 three wheelers per shift. Ranna manufacturing complex also reuses and recycles used water, packing materials, fluorescent lamps etc, and is committed to conservation and sustainable use of the environment.
